Great, if you dont smell or taste it

| Hydra is water-based, glycerin free, DEA free, and paraben free. It has a truly perfect consistency: thin enough to feel effortless, thick enough not to drip off whichever toy I slather it on. But its taste is really rancid like eating perfume. And it has a medicinal, fake clean smell to it that reminds my boyfriend of ballpoint pen ink. Nonetheless, Hydra is my current favorite lube. Its perfect consistency and lack of harmful ingredients make up for its whacked out smell and horrific taste. Really. |

| Intimate Organics is a rather interesting company by the fact theyve hit a niche market by bringing personal items that are completely organic. This is a great thing for those who are sensitive to the more popularly used ingredients in the industry. Hydra is a water based lubricant that is glycerin free, DEA free, and paraben free. Its a fairly thin consistency to mimic natural body fluids. This is an ideal lubricant for women to use with their partner or with toys. Males wont receive as from this lubricant if using it for masturbation. This also isnt ideal for anal sex or anal toys due to its thin consistency. Because of the added plant extracts, this does have a slight off taste. Hydra isnt intended for oral, but it wont cause harm if ingested. It doesnt get sticky but when it dried in my fingers, it seemed to have added a little extra friction.
I feel this is a great product, but for a select crowd. As a male who uses many anal toys and doesnt interact with the female anatomy I am sad to say that this lubricant wont get much use from me. |

| Its non-sticky, and doesnt Gunk Up. It definately is not a silicone based lube, the kind that goes forever, but it does last pretty well. But, thats not to say that a little bit of *moisture* in whichever form you desire to add it -wink- doesnt get thing moving again lickety-split *pun intended.
Unscented in as much as they havent added a scent to it, but there is a faint green scent/taste - from the Aloe. |

Slip and Slide your way to heaven! (Cinnamon, TX) |
| Intimate Organics did a fantastic job with the Hydra Lube! its environment friendly, and lasts forever. it doesnt get sticky or tacky, and actually works well for softening your skin. All the ingredients in Hydra are vegan approved, which means you never have to worry about the chemicals your putting on your body or toys. There are two pretty big downfalls to this lube; the taste and smell arent great. While I dont recommend using it in situations where you are in the same area as your face, it is fantastic for your nether regions. I will certainly be checking out the rest of the IO products! |

Enviroment Friendly Lube (Cinnamon, TX) |
| I really enjoy using this lube as it works great! The smell and taste of it may make you gag though. Its made from vegan-approved ingredients, and that makes it totally environmentally friendly. It has great lasting power, and isnt too runny. I prefer to use it with my elastomer toys, but the glass toys do cause it to run. |

Wet and Slippery (SexyDuchess) |
| The Intimate Organics Line was created in 2008 to give women and men a safer and more natural choice fro enjoying intimate moments, alone or together. *from the brochure
Now I decided to once again do a bit of homework on this. I mean, theres only so much you can say about and do with lube- yet there seems to be a vast array of choices out there.
There seem to be a few main types of lubricant: water-based, oil-based and silicone-based.
After a preliminary search, it seems that water-based is the most functional. It is safe for use with all toys and condoms, cleans the most easily and is least likely to cause any kind of skin reaction.
Intimate Organics seem to have kicked it up a notch: not only is it water-based, it is also made from natural ingredients. For example- the top ingredient is in fact aqua which I suppose is a fancy way of saying water, theres also some alcohol and leaf and berry extracts in there.
The pamphlet also talked about conditioners for the skin, which I suppose is where the aloe extracts come in as well.
All in all, I was not terrified to use this on my pink parts.
So since Im in a wee bit of a dry spell at the moment, this was used strictly on me and my toys the past few nights. And well? It lubed. It made both me and the toys all cool and slick. Insertion was downright dreamy. And it did clean off within moments.
There was no noticable smell to this lube, but there was a definite taste to it. Maybe a bit sour? Not awful, but not flavoured either. However, the pamphlet does indicate that its vegan-friendly. As well, since its such a high water content, this is definitely a thin, liquidy lube- as opposed to the oil-based that comes out in a thicker gel form.
My only other observation about water-based lubricants, and this one specifically is not particularly new or original. Because its mostly made of water, it does tend to dry out more quickly than an oil or a silicone-based lube. Its one of the trade offs for having a more natural product.
Yes, those other materials might last longer, but they also leave a residue, theyre harder to clean, and they might just cause a skin reaction.
I did like this product, but theres nothing overwhelmingly interesting about it. Its a lube. It did its job. It neither excited nor offended me. You definitely pay for the organic label though -as it is regularly priced at $23.99, on sale at the site for $15.99. |

Hydra is no beast (Adriana, TX) |
| Intimate Organics Hydra is a waterbased lube without harmful chemicals and is odorless and taste-free. Its thin formula is extremely slick for a water based lube and we both enjoy it. It dries without any mess at all but while its dying, does get sticky. As long as youre okay with reapplying, Hydra is a good lube. |
