| The Ella is easily the hardest silicone dildo I have. Even with its very thin neck, it is very hard to bend at all, and it immediately snaps back into position when you let go of it. The surface, Ive found, is a mixed blessing. While the Ella seems to attract lint and other particulates less than the rest of my silicone toys, it will eat up any towel or cloth capable of shedding lint and the lint WILL stick. A very moist cleaning method and air drying is recommended.
Since the Ella is silicone, it can be boiled to sterilize, run through the dishwasher on the top rack, with no soap, or you can just use soap and water if you arent sharing. Also, you really should avoid using silicone based lubricants with this toy- although water and oil based are fine. My usual method of cleaning, toy wipes and toy cleaner, works fine- but the Ella does have one fault that makes it quite hard to clean. On the thicker, smoother end, the Ella has some small, embossed Lelo type. Of course, fluids will get trapped in this embossed area. Moreover, when you clean it, soap will get trapped in it, and if you wipe it off to dry or clean it, fibers from whatever you use to wipe it with will also get trapped. I end up having to individually clean every single letter. This gets tedious, and fast.
However, if you can ignore this, its the Ellas only fault. In use, it feels amazing. Ah-MAY-zing. It hits my g-spot perfectly, even the smooth end gives me a light pressure thats very enjoyable, and the material gives the lightest bit of friction and tug. Every time I use my Ella, Im consistently amazed at how great it feels for being so simple looking, and so un-intimidating.
