The Hummingbird Technique

A few weeks ago, an episode of “My Own Worst Enemy” with Christian Slater mentioned something called the ‘Hummingbird’ in a morning-after scene. A few days later, the most searched term on Google was, you guessed it, the ‘Hummingbird’ technique.

To summarize, the Hummingbird technique is pretty much as it sounds, it involves oral sex combined with simple humming. The humming in effect turns the lips and mouth of the giver into a living vibrator. There are lots of different positions and ways you could use this trick (we’re pretty sure you can use your imagination and come up with some of your own) but one of the best known ways to make the most of the Hummingbird technique is the position from which the name comes.

In nature, a male hummingbird flies up behind a female to mate. The female bird will usually be perched on a branch with her tail feathers spread. Get the idea?

Girls, you’ll be on hands and knees, and your lover will be behind you, pleasuring you with his/her mouth. Givers, once you’ve assumed the position, and your lady is getting into it, think of a tune and just start humming at a low pitch.

We know this particular position won’t appeal to everyone; after all, it does leave the lady parts pretty exposed. If the hands and knees stance seems a little to risqué for you, just keep experimenting until you find a way you feel comfortable with.

This sexual trick is nothing particularly new; we’ve all heard of blowjobs being referred to as ‘hummers’, but the renewed interest in the Hummingbird will definitely make some people very happy!
